How fast is fast?

The Charge PD series utilizes both USB-C PD and also Quick Charge 3.0 protocols. That means you can charge at up to 100W using the designated USB-C port and up to 15w using the type A port. A standard USB-A port will only deliver 5W -- this means you can charge up to 20x faster with our USB-C and 3x faster with our USB-A and Wireless Charging Deck.

What is the significance of the 100W Port Rating vs the 120W Power Output Rating?

100W represents the maximum amount of power that a single USB-C port can deliver in our power bank. The 120W Total Power Output rating represents the combined total of power that can be delivered simultaneously with multiple devices plugged in drawing power. Here's how this could play out: Laptop plugged in, draws 100W from the rated USB-C PD port. This means you have 20W that can be drawn simultaneously, so you can place your phone on the wireless charging deck at 15W and plug in your earbuds for the remaining 5W, everything charging at optimal speed.

How do I activate the free 3rd Year Warranty?

If you purchase your product on BioLiteEnergy.com, you're all set! Purchases at the BioLite Shop are automatically registered. If you purchase your Charge 100 Max from an authorized retailer, you will need to register your unit on our warranty page.

Is Charge 100 Max good for laptops?

It's GREAT for laptops. Not only can it provide up to 2 full charges, it will do so generally as fast as the wall charger that came with your computer. Most laptops come with a 65W or 100W charging brick and Charge 100 Max can offer up to 100W of power out. So if your laptop can charge via USB-C, you'll have a fast and effective charging experience with Charge 100 Max.

How long does it take to recharge Charge 100 Max?

When using a 65W charger, you can refill in under 90 minutes. If you are using a smaller charging brick or an 18W USB-C source, you're looking at around 5 hours. Pro-tip: most laptop chargers come with 65W charging bricks, so it's a great way to fill up your Charge 100 Max fast.

Can I use Charge 100 Max in the cold?

Yes, the approved operating temperature of the Charge 100 Max series is -4F to 104F (-20C to 40C). We recommend keeping it close to your body so it can benefit from your natural body warmth for optimal efficiency and operation.

Can I take it on a plane?

Yes! The battery capacity is below the carry-on limit. Also, the rubberized casing is especially good on tray tables, so no slipping or sliding and falling between seats.

Is it waterproof?

No, Charge 100 Max is not intended for water exposure. If you're planning to use in wet environments we recommend storing in a dry bag for transport and using under shelter.

What does USB-C PD Mean?

Power Delivery (PD) is a protocol specification that allows for fast, flexible and safe charging. This technology allows a variety of devices to fast charge over a common USB-C connection and allows both to negotiate the most efficient and safe settings.

I recently purchased the Charge 100 Max from an authorized dealer. I used the charger frequently and was very pleased. One week ago I noticed the charge light indicator was not working. I emailed with technical support, tried the suggestion and sent pictures of the unit. After exhausting all suggestions Biolite is providing me with a replacement. I’m very pleased with customer and technical support

a beast - will charge anything!

Love this thing - had the prior large battery from BioLite and always loved it, so was time to upgrade. The magSafe charging is awesome, and the thing can charge a computer / ipad / phone / and more on a single charge. A definite must have

Versatile Max

Charges reliably quickly and provides plenty of battery for my laptop and phone throughout an entire day. Also, recently travelled and being able to charge a phone wirelessly, another phone wired, a laptop, and 2 smart watches over night was great.

The Biolite Charge 100 Max is a must have product. The ability to simultaneously charge multiple devices makes this product the perfect travel charger. The magnetic wireless deck is a plus. No need to carry additional cables.

Excellent for boardroom portable power

I bought this for work, and recently used it when I had my laptop running my notes and reference materials and my iPad running the Zoom meeting. I had the iPad connected to this charged for 6 hours - lots of charge still left, and my iPad was at 100% the whole time. It is handy to not have to be near a wall socket in boardrooms. Magsafe charge worked fine - that one is a slow charge.

Dedicated Charge Station

just wanted a dedicated battery pack for my B&N Nook. I can carry this one pack instead of 2 Charge 80's and still have some left over for headlamps and my smart phone.
