Awesome stove

Campstove 2 Bundle

"This bundle is amazing !! We took it camping and backpacking. It is so easy to use, heats water quickly and the light attachment is so bright with adjustable settings. I love that you can burn any sticks, twigs, leaves etc. We also brought one bag of the pellets for rainy days. Once you get the fire started you can still burn just about anything. The battery charges ok, it's usefull in a pinch. The battery stays charged fully even with the fan constantly running. We used it for a 5 day trip exclusively and loved it. Totally worth it!!"

Useful and simple

"Played around, cooked some burgers in my backyard for a test run. I appreciate that so much can be done with kindling, since I’m no use with an axe. On our first family camping trip, this was PERFECT for getting my coffee on before the rest of the gang woke. I bought this to use as an emergency bug-out tool, but I’m sure I’ll be using it for my recreation far more."

I wish I had this stove years ago!

"Works great! Love it. Set up quickly right out of the box. A few twigs later it was up and running! The steaks were delicious"

"Best thing since sliced bread. Portable, easy, fun. And if you bust this out during a get together at the beach then you’re instantly famous for the day. Everyone loves this BioLite!!"

"Great for cooking on, so glad to have left propane behind, easy to use and the charger does come in handy. The grill cooks great. Could do with a more rugged travel bag, but that hardly let's the cooker down. Worth every penny and now considering the bigger unit for bigger camp outs."

Husband LOVES this birthday gift!

"This was an amazing buy! My husband had been talking about this thing for months - so I got it for his birthday and he was excited to go camping and try it out! We didn't even glance at the instructions before going up, we just never found the time to do so. But the instructions were super user friendly and we got right to it in no time! And my gosh, cooking was a breeze! We made sloppy joes, hot dogs, s'mores, and grilled veggies!I didn't know what to make of the reviews that gave bad marks because you have to consistently fuel it up. I thought, "I kind of assumed this was a part of the deal, but maybe it's just really annoying to se folks?" And I think my initial reaction was right. We were fine refueling every minute or so in order to have ALL the benefits this little device brings with it. I forgot my charging block, so it was the only way I could recharge my phone and that was totally handy! We cant wait to get the opportunity to show this little guy off at the next family camping trip!"

"Super light, easy to pack & carry. Easy and straightforward to use. We made hamburgers with nothing more than twigs for fuel. I love it!"

FAQs

How much electricity does the CampStove 2+ produce?

3 Watts at peak output. The hotter the fire, the more power produced.

Can the CampStove 2+ work with cookware I already own?

Yes, CampStove 2+ can work with kettles and camping pots and pans. We do not recommend heavy cast-iron and cookware with diameters greater than 10" as these create unstable cooking surfaces given the small footprint of CampStove. If you're looking for larger group cooking, we recommend using the BioLite KettlePot or Portable Grill which are designed to work specifically with CampStove while maximizing cooking capacity.

How do you clean the Complete Cook Kit?

CampStove: Wipe down with damp rag, do not submerge power pack in water. Burn chamber can be put in dishwaster but we recommend just wiping down inside with a rag or designated bottle brush for best results | KettlePot: Wash with soap and water and let air dry | Grill: Wash with soap and water and let air dry. Grill brush can be used to clean grate.

What is the capacity of the KettlePot?

1.5L

Is it easy to start the fire inside the CampStove?

Fill your burn chamber ¾ of the way with fuel (this can be small dry sticks or pellets – don’t overstuff or you’ll block the air jets that help combust the smoke) 2) Use a small piece of firestarter (included with all CampStove 2+s) and light with a match or lighter and place inside your chamber (we recommend bbq lighters if you’re in windy conditions, you can light directly inside the chamber). 3) Once the CampStove 2+’s heat probe gets hot enough the fan will turn on and start to stoke your fire. If you have a little bit of smoke before the fan turns on that is normal - it will go away when the fan kicks in.

Can this be used during burn bans?

Parks vary by region and season, you must check with your local ranger for restrictions specific to your park and area. For parks with the strictest policies (safety first!) BioLite BaseCharge power stations can run electric cook tops, instant pots, blenders, and more.

Top Notch

This is my second bio lite and this time I went for the complete package. I am even more impressed with the second one and all of the extras. The little light and the coffee maker have been an awesome addition. Our family enjoys the fact that it is a contained fire and is acceptable in some public parks.

I like the improvements

I like the improvements. The ability to pre-charge the generator is an improvement. The only problem is that the battery is not able to fully charge my iPhone 16, so you will probably have to use it with a fire to generate power. Have not been able to do that yet.

Definitely Handy in Wet Weather

I got my BioLite CampStove as a wedding gift many moons ago. Since then, I mainly used it as a backup cooking and charging device during power outages or for boiling water for MRE's. As a dad of four boys, I'm also a Scoutmaster for a small Scouting Troop near our home town.

On our first spring campout outing of the year, I decided to bring along my CampStove just as tool for our newer scouts to practice their fire building skills. Anyone who goes early Spring camping in the Northeast knows to expect some gnarly weather. The second night out, we got hit hard with slushy rain and gusts of wind. The day (which had been a nice 78 degrees) quickly deteriorated and dropped to 44 degrees Fahrenheit. When the rain came rolling in later that evening, it felt like it was just two degrees above freezing. All night long our tents and gear were peppered with rain and ice.

The next morning, I knew our boys needed a hot meal and a warm fire to start their day. Unfortunately, all our firewood was cold and soaked through and through (with exception to some pine cones and lint I brought from home in a ziplock bag). I tried unsuccessfully to use lint, wood shavings and kindling to start a fire in our fire pit but any fire I'd create was quickly snuffed out. Running low on tinder, I took out my Biolite CampStove as a last ditch effort to create and sustain a solid flame. It did not disappoint! Not only did it start and sustain a fire, I used my CampStove to dry out and light up some moderate sized pieces of wood that I then used to start up our camp fire pit. Needless to say, my CampStove really did save the day! It would not have been possible otherwise.

Since then, if the weather calls for rain on a campout, my CampStove is sure to join in on the adventure.
