I've used it off and on over that period, maybe averaging to about 10 times a year. It has held up pretty well, though there is some surface rust that shows up on outside. I haven't repainted it and the rust doesn't seem to affect the usability at all. I am careful to store it always away from the weather. The usability of the firepit is really great and one of the main selling points compared to solo stoves is that when I'm done with my fire, it is fairly easy to put out and clean up. I usually kick the fan up all the way and have most of my big fuel burned up by the time I'm done. Then with gloves, I shake the coals out into an old flower pot where I can water them down. The whole stove cools off really quickly after that. The fan battery seems to last a long time, even after all these years. Great product, great company. I've used it numerous times camping and several times for backyard fires. Once you get it going it is an amazing fire with minimal smoke and lots of flames. And I've found that it is super easy to start the fire and it keeps going without constant poking of the logs. My only minor negative comment and a suggestion for a design improvement would the the disposal process for the ash. There is a small trap door at the one end on the bottom and it is easy enough to tip the fire pit up and brush all the ash into this trap door, but some will get past the door and sit along the edge. It takes a bit of time and effort to get all the ash out. The modification I might like to see is the trap door closer to the edge with sides tapered so that all the ash naturally flows out, maybe with a little bit of a spigot to more easily direct the ash to another container, e.g. garbage container.
